‘Merry Skipmas’ from Wellington Waste Management
It wouldn’t be Christmas without a bit of fun and the contribution from Wellington Waste Management is a quirky Christmas ‘skip’ tree which can be found in the car park at Morgan’s Café on the A38 between Wellington and Tiverton. Made of a range of different sized green Wellington Waste skips, the ‘tree’ dominates the café entrance by day and lights up the area by night, attracting plenty of second glances in the process.

Having recently updated their skips to an eco-friendly green colour and re-branded earlier in 2011, the company felt that this would be a great way to show off their new ‘look’. As owner Tony Palfrey commented, ‘we wanted to do something a little bit different at Christmas this year whilst raising money for local charity and, with our skips now being green, a Christmas tree seemed the perfect idea. The café is well known locally and on a main route in the area so we hope lots of people get a bit of Christmas cheer from it!’
